The short version
We use your address to calculate your property's rainwater potential. We only share your contact and property details with an installer if you ask us to connect you. You can use the assessment and see your result without creating an account.
What we collect
- Property and address information, which you enter to run an assessment.
- Property data we look up from your address, such as your roof's footprint and your area's rainfall, to calculate your estimate.
- Your email address, if you choose to unlock or have us send the full report.
- Contact and project details you provide if you ask for an installer connection, such as your name, phone number, email, project timeline, and related information, so an installer can follow up with you.
- Basic usage and assessment events (for example, that an assessment was run) so we can understand and improve how the tool performs.
How your address is processed
To perform your assessment, your address and property information may be processed through the public-data and third-party services we rely on, for example, geocoding and building-data providers that help us locate your property and estimate your roof's footprint. We use these services to calculate your result.
How we use it
- To calculate and show your property's rainwater potential and score.
- To send you your report, if you ask for it by email.
- To connect you with a local installer only when you request it. If you ask us to connect you, we share the property and contact details needed for that installer to follow up.
- To measure and improve how the assessment works.
What we don't do
We don't require an account to see your estimate, and we don't share your contact details with an installer unless you ask us to connect you. RainwaterIQ is an independent assessment. We're not a contractor and we don't install systems.
